Wrightsville Beach Fall Fishing Report – October 2026

The fall fishing is in full swing here in beautiful Wrightsville Beach / Wilmington, N.C.! The big Spanish mackerel, along with bluefish and false albacore, are showing up and being caught in big numbers on our 1/2-day trips.

Just off the beach, in the 10-mile range on our 3/4-day trips, we are seeing the king mackerel showing up in good numbers as well. We are also limiting out on king mackerel some days.

There have been a few mahi caught as well, but as we get later into October, these fish will not stick around as the water temperatures drop.

The king mackerel bite should only get better here off Wrightsville Beach through October and into the first couple of weeks of November.
